Drake hits back at Kendrick Lamar with the latest diss track ‘The Heart Part 6’

Drake at the LA Premiere Of HBO's "Euphoria" at the Cinerama Dome on June 4^ 2019 in Los Angeles^ CA

Drake is hitting back yet again at Kendrick Lamar with the latest track in their ‘diss wars’ titled “The Heart Part 6” (a title that plays on Lamar’s 2022 song, “The Heart Part 5.”)

The biggest rap feud in years has seen both Drake and Lamar throw unsubstantiated allegations at each other — Drake has accused Lamar of physically abusing his partner, and Lamar has suggested Drake has a hidden love child. In his last few tracks, Lamar has focused on allegations that Drake is a sexual predator.  In The Heart Part 6, Drake denies all the allegations against him made by Kendrick, responding directly to Lamar’s previous two diss tracks “Meet The Grahams” and “Not Like Us.”

‘The Heart Part 6’ is produced by Boi-1da, and is the follow-up his previous diss track aimed at Lamar, “Family Matters.”  Take a listen to The Heart Part 6 here.

Beyonce at the World premiere of 'The Lion King' held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood^ USA on July 9^ 2019.

12-year-old Blue Ivy Carter will join her famous mom, Beyoncé, in the upcoming ‘Lion King’ prequel film, ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’.

The film’s first trailer has been released, in which Blue Ivy voices the role of Kiara, the daughter of King Simba and Queen Nala (to be voiced again by Donald Glover and Beyoncé, who also appeared in the 2019 film). Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen, who previously played Timon and Pumba, are also set to reprise their roles in ‘Mufasa’.

‘Mufasa’ director Barry Jenkins told Good Morning America it was “really special” to see the mother-daughter duo at work: “I was so glad that both Beyoncé and Blue Ivy were down to do [Mufasa], and watching them work together was just really special. Beyoncé is this larger-than-life figure, but when she’s working with her daughter, when she’s in the room with her daughter, she’s a mom first. So much of that energy bled into the film.”

Sabrina Carpenter shares the music video for ‘Espresso’

Sabrina Carpente at the NeueHouse on August 10^ 2023 in Los Angeles^ CA

24-year-old singer/actress Sabrina Carpenter has shared the official music video for her hit single, ‘Espresso’, which is co-written by Carpenter alongside her previous collaborators Amy Allen, Julian Bunetta, and Steph Jones.

The video for Espresso, directed by Grammy-nominated music video director Dave Meyers, shows Carpenter push a potential suitor overboard and use his credit card to enjoy a sunny day on the beach with her girls.

Carpenter shared with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe on the song: “Weirdly enough, we ended up writing this song in France, and I think that that probably had a little bit of inspiration to how the song ended up feeling. It just had that excitement and that energy of almost kind of traveling the world. There was something really exciting about the fact that there was so much personality throughout the entire song, because those are the ones that are really, really fun to sing live with a crowd. Those are the ones that people, I think when they don’t know my music or who I am or anything, they can just tune in to a single song and kind of leave with a better idea of my sense of humor.”

Carpenter also told Vogue that the song celebrates self-confidence: “The song is kind of about seeing femininity as your super power, and embracing that confidence of being that [expletive]. Since the day I heard the song, I saw a beach atmosphere — and more specifically this kind of old school [and] modern environment. [I wanted to capture] the playfulness that I like to use throughout all of my videos.”
