Cardi B confirms breakup from husband Offset after six years of marriage

Cardi B has confirmed the rumors of her split from rapper Offset. The 31-year-old Cardi shared on Instagram Live that she and her husband of six years had separated. The news follows reports that Cardi B and Offset had unfollowed each other on Instagram, accompanied by cryptic messages on Cardi’s Instagram Story about outgrowing relationships and putting herself first.

Cardi shared: “I don’t know if y’all have been getting clues from me from my Live, I mean… or from my Instagram Stories, where I put certain music. When it comes to events and stuff, I don’t think it’s true, I don’t care to find out because I have been single for a minute now. I have been afraid to… not afraid but I just don’t know how to tell the world. I feel like today has been like a sign. The last time I got on Live I kind of wanted to tell you but I didn’t know how to tell you so I changed my mind. But it has been like this for a minute now.” Cardi added that she is ready for a ‘fresh start in 2024’ and was excited for a new life and new beginning.

Cardi and Offset, 31, were married in 2017, and share two children together: daughter Kulture, 5, and son Wave, 2. Offset is also father to Jordan, 13, Kalea, 8, and Kody, 8, from previous relationships.

Usher teams up with BTS’ Jungkook for ‘Standing Next to You’ remix

BTS’s Jungkook teamed up with Usher on a new remix of his latest single ‘Standing Next to You’, which was originally released last month as the third single from Jungkook’s debut solo album, ‘Golden’ which dropped in November.

The new remix features a new verse by Usher, as well as additional vocals from in the song’s chorus.Big Hit Music has described the remix as “add[ing] a velvety touch to the energetic vibe of the original version, showcasing the synergy between the two artists in full force”.  

Usher celebrated the song’s release on Instagram, posting the video and caption: “Standing Next To You (Usher Remix) is OUT NOW!! Shoutout my brother Jung Kook.”

Jungkook’s ‘Golden’ features 11 tracks (all sung in English) and has spawned the hit singles ‘Seven’ featuring Latto, and ‘3D’ featuring Jack Harlow. Jungkook also released a remix of ‘3D’ featuring Justin Timberlake

Rita Ora and Jeannie Mai joining Ryan Seacrest on ‘Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2024’

Longtime host and TV personality Ryan Seacrest will be joined by new co-hosts as he once again heads up ABC’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve. The show will air Sunday, Dec. 31 starting at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and will run through to the midnight countdown from Times Square where the ball will drop.

As in past years, Seacrest will be in New York City’s Times Square, but this year will be joined by singer Rita Ora. The show will also be broadcast from Hollywood, California, with TV personality Jeannie Mai hosting on that coast. In addition, presenter Dayanara Torres is returning to co-host from Puerto Rico.

ABC’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve features performances and A-list appearances from all genres, with the first round of performers just announced, including: Janelle Monáe, Green Day, Ellie Goulding, Aqua, Doechii, Loud Luxury x Two Friends with Bebe Rexha, Ludacris, Nile Rodgers and Chic, Paul Russell, Reneé Rapp with Coco Jones, and Thirty Seconds to Mars will perform at the Los Angeles party hosted by Jeannie Mai.

The trailer for Season 2 of the animated series What If…? was released, gives a glimpse at some of the multiverse that the upcoming season will explore.

A description of Season 2 of What If…? states that it ‘continues the journey as The Watcher guides viewers through the vast multiverse, introducing brand new and familiar faces throughout the MCU. The series questions, revisits and twists classic Marvel Cinematic moments with an incredible voice cast that includes a host of stars who reprise their iconic roles.’

Zara Larsson shares holiday EP ‘Honor The Light’, details new album

Zara Larsson shared details of her holiday-themed EP ‘Honor The Light’, which contain six tracks including the songs ‘Memory Lane’ and ‘Winter Song’.

Larsson also recently announced her new album ‘Venus’, will drop February 9, 2024. The singer has released three songs from the record: the David Guetta collaboration ‘On My Love’, as well as ‘Can’t Tame Her‘ and ‘End Of Time‘. Larsson has teased the album, sharing that it’s “a little harder”: “The drums are a little harder, the vocals are vocalling a little bit more. I would just say I’ve been taking it up a notch, which is hopefully what I would like to do for every album, just step it up; but this one is really f**king good.”

BTS’s Jung Kook has shared the “3D – Justin Timberlake Remix” — a new remix of his smash hit “3D”, featuring rapper Jack Harlow. The remix showcases the two artists’ vocals, adding a new twist to the song.

“3D – Justin Timberlake Remix” comes shortly after the release of Jung Kook’s first solo album Golden, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Golden is comprised of 11 tracks including “Standing Next to You,” “Seven” featuring Latto, and “3D” featuring Jack Harlow; “Closer to You” featuring Major Lazer, “Yes or No,” “Please Don’t Change” featuring DJ Snake, “Hate You,” “Somebody,” “Too Sad to Dance,” and “Shot Glass of Tears.”

Chelsea Handler returning to host 2024 Critics Choice Awards

Chelsea Handler is set to return as the host of this year’s Critics Choice Awards, which will air live on the CW on Jan. 14, marking Handler’s second consecutive year hosting the ceremony.

Handler said in a statement: “I am very happy and excited to be hosting the Critics Choice Awards again this year, as last year was one of the most fun nights I’ve had. There is no greater reward than making fun of actors and then getting drunk with them afterward. It’s an honor.”  Added Critics Choice Association CEO Joey Berlin, “We are thrilled to have Chelsea Handler join us once again to host the Critics Choice Awards. After having her as our host last year, we couldn’t wait to have her back up on the stage again.”

The Critics Choice Awards celebrates the best in film and television. TV nominations were just announced, with the Apple TV+ series “The Morning Show” leading the television contenders with six nominations, and HBO’s “Succession” following with five nominations. Film nominations will be revealed on Dec. 13.

The 29th annual Critics Choice Awards, taking place at the Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles, will air live on the CW on Jan. 14 at 7 p.m. ET.

Kim Kardashian to star in Netflix comedy film ‘The Fifth Wheel’

Kim Kardashian is set to produce and star in the new comedy movie for Netflix, The Fifth Wheel.  Kim will co-produce and star in an all-new comedy from producer and writer Paula Pell (SNL, Sisters) and writer Janine Brito (Girls5eva).

Netflix shared on X:  “Kim Kardashian is about to be The Fifth Wheel. Kim will co-produce and star in an all-new comedy from producer and writer Paula Pell (SNL, Sisters) and writer Janine Brito (Girls5eva) — coming soon to Netflix! Paula Pell and Janine Brito are writing the film. Pell is also a producer on the project.”

Kardashian can currently be seen in the latest American Horror Story season, ‘Delicate,’  She has also lent her voice to animated features like the PAW Patrol film and its sequel The Mighty Movie.

Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish to appear as music guests on ‘Saturday Night Live’

Olivia Rodrigo and Billie Eilish will be the final musical guests in 2023 for the 49th season of NBC’s iconic comedy series Saturday Night Live.  

Rodrigo will perform on Saturday, December 9th, with host Adam Driver; while Eilish will perform on the finale episode of 2023, with host and SNL alum Kate McKinnon on Saturday, December 16th.

Both Rodrigo and Eilish are returning musical guests; Rodrigo made her SNL debut in May 2021, when she performed “Drivers License” and “Good 4 U” from her debut album, Sour. Eilish’s appearance on Dec. 16th will mark her third time on SNL; back in 2019, she performed “Bad Guy” and “All the Good Girls Go to Hell” from her debut LP, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?  And in 2021, Eilish pulled double duty as host and musical guest, performing the title track to her LP Happier Than Ever, as well as “Male Fantasy”.

The Weeknd appears in the trailer to Fortnite’s new “Festival” game mode

Epic Games and The Weeknd have shared a trailer of their upcoming Fortnite Festival collaboration, posting on X: “Get ready to take your stage 🎙🎸✨ #FortniteFestival launches in Fortnite on December 9, 2023.”

The Weeknd will perform an in-game concert that will celebrate the launch of the new Fortnite music game, and the trailer shows the artist take the stage in front of a crowd of fans, as well as features footage of the new game.

According to an Epic Games press release, Fortnite Festival is “a new music game where players can play in a band with friends or perform solo on stage with hit music by their favorite artists.”  The game is built by Harmonix, the studio behind the game ‘Rock Band.’ The Weeknd’s concert will take place Saturday, December 9th – the same day as Fortnite Festival’s launch.
