The launch of my foundation is represented by gifts to four organizations that I believe are doing the work of making Louisville a better place; helping under resourced families remove obstacles to higher education, supporting a new start in a neighborhood that has been lacking investment, giving hands on assistance to the poorest of the poor, and making safe housing affordable for families.”

Harlow celebrated the release of his third studio album, Jackman, by visiting multiple JCPS schools in Louisville, including his alma mater, Atherton High School. The album cover of Jackman  features Harlow standing in front of an alley in his old neighborhood.

Post Malone is being honored at the Songwriters Hall of Fame gala (SHOF), and will be bestowed with the ‘Hal David Starlight Award’ at the annual Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Dinner on June 15 in New York City.   The award, named after former SHOF Chairman Hal David (who was also a songwriter of hits by Dionne Warwick and more) is given to “young songwriters who are making a significant impact in the music industry with their original songs.”

Current SHOF Chairman Nile Rodgers says in a statement: “Over the last few years I have had the pleasure of watching Posty become one of the biggest artists in the world and he’s done it by writing phenomenal songs. Way before Post Malone was a superstar, he was a great songwriter, and this is his first step into the Songwriters Hall of Fame!”

Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Lil Nas X, John Mayer, John Legend and Drake are among the other esteemed artists who’ve received the award since it was instituted in 2004. Snoop Dogg, Gloria Estefan, Glen Ballard, Jeff Lynne, Teddy Riley and Liz Rose are the 2023 inductees into the SHOF.

Over the past decade, Post Malone’s four albums have reached No. 1 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and the Top 5 on the all-genre Billboard 200, and have spawned the hits songs “Rockstar,” “Circles,” “Psycho,” “Better Now,” “Sunflower” and many more.

Harry Styles shares new video for “Satellite”

shutterstock_2253688849463013

Harry Styles has dropped the visual for “Satellite,” directed by Styles’ video collaborator Aube Perrie.

The video follows the perspective of a Wall-E-esque robot, who works as an automatic vacuum cleaner backstage at one of Styles’ concerts. We see the robot cleaning the floors of a green room as Styles leaves to perform, and he accidentally rolls onstage while the star is singing mid-show. The little vacuum exits the venue and explores the world outside, eventually reuniting with Styles at the end of the video clip.

The 29-year-old Styles confirmed that “Satellite” would be the fourth single off his May 2022 album Harry’s House, following his Billboard Hot 100 chart-toppers “As It Was,” “Late Night Talking” and “Music For a Sushi Restaurant,” all three of which were turned into music videos as well. The singer is currently gearing up for the European leg of his ongoing Love on Tour, which has been running since September 2021 and will conclude after nearly two years this July.

shutterstock_1181430616134384

Deadline reports that a sequel to the hit 2004 comedy Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story is officially in the works, with Vince Vaughn set to star in the project. Vaughn will star in and produce the sequel, which will be written by Jordan VanDina (‘The Binge’).

As of press time, it was not revealed if any of the other stars from the original film (Ben Stiller, Christine Taylor, Justin Long, Stephen Root, Alan Tudyk, Joel David Moore, Chris Williams, Missi Pyle, Gary Cole, Jason Bateman, and William Shatner), will return for the sequel.

2004’s Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story received positive reviews from critics and audiences alike, with the film grossing almost $170 million in its time. Talk of a ‘Dodgeball’ sequel has been rumored for years, with Vaughn telling The Hollywood Reporter in December 2022 that he and Ben Stiller were open to doing a sequel film.  Said Vaughn at the time: “You would just want to make sure going into Dodgeball that it feels like a nice continuation and a story that could stand on its own. I think for all of us if it feels right and it’s funny, it would be something to go back to, and if it’s not, it’s just another idea getting kicked around.”
