Jonas Brothers release their latest single ‘Who’s in Your Head’

Jonas Brothers have dropped their new single, “Who’s in Your Head,” the follow-up to “Remember This,” which came out in June.  You can take a listen to the latest track – here.

The Jonas Brothers also shared on Instagram that the “Who’s in Your Head” music video is “on the way soon.”  The track, co-written by hitmakers Max Martin and Rami Yacoub, was first teased during a tour date at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado. They later shared a TikTok clip of the song.

Jonas Brothers are in the midst of their Remember This tour, which wraps on October 27th in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Bowl.

Kelly Clarkson set to release new holiday single ‘Christmas Isn’t Canceled (Just You)’

Kelly Clarkson is set to release a new holiday single titled “Christmas Isn’t Canceled (Just You)” on Sept. 23, which will appear on the singer’s upcoming ninth studio album. The project is Clarkson’s first since 2017’s Meaning of Life and will be her second holiday album following 2013’s Wrapped in Red.

“Y’all know I’m obsessed with Christmas,” Clarkson said on Instagram while announcing the single. To pre-save “Christmas Isn’t Canceled (Just You)” head here.

73rd Primetime Emmy Awards: See the full list of winners

The 73rd annual Emmy Awards were held on Sunday night from Los Angeles, hosted by Cedric the Entertainer and airing live on CBS as well as streamed on Paramount+. The big winner of the evening was Netflix’s ‘The Crown’ winning the Best Drama honor and sweeping the acting categories. The Crown stars Olivia Colman, Josh O’Connor, Gillian Anderson and Tobias Menzies all took home the statuettes for Best Actress, Actor, Supporting Actress and Supporting Actor in a Drama. It also earned the Emmys for Best Writing and Directing for a Drama.

Apple TV+’s ‘Ted Lasso’ won for Best Comedy, with its stars Jason Sudeikis, Brett Goldstein and Hannah Waddingham winning in the Best Actor, Supporting Actor and Actress in a Comedy categories. Jean Smart was named Best Actress in a Comedy for HBO Max’s ‘Hacks,’ which also won for Best Writing and Best Directing for a Comedy.

Kate Winslet, Evan Peters and Julianne Nicholson from HBO’s ‘Mare of Easttown’ picked up the prizes for Best Actress, Supporting Actor and Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.  Netflix’s ‘The Queen’s Gambit’ won for Best Limited or Anthology Series, and Ewan McGregor won for Best Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for Netflix’s ‘Halston’.

Chris Rock reveals Covid-19 diagnosis, urges fans to get vaccinated

Chris Rock revealed on social media Sunday that he has tested positive for Covid-19. “Hey guys I just found out I have COVID, trust me you don’t want this,” Rock tweeted Sunday. “Get vaccinated.”

Rock didn’t elaborate on his condition, but he had announced on The Tonight Show in May that he did receive the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. In an interview with Gayle King earlier this year (via Variety), Rock criticized those who did not want to get the vaccine, noting, “Let me put it this way: Do I take Tylenol when I get a headache? Yes. Do I know what’s in Tylenol? I don’t know what’s in Tylenol, Gayle. I just know my headache’s gone. Do I know what’s in a Big Mac, Gayle? No. I just know it’s delicious.”

BTS to hold ‘Permission to Dance On Stage’ livestream concert event

K-pop group BTS announced that they will hold a new online concert on Oct. 24 during the live stream event ‘Permission to Dance On Stage.’ BTS shared in the teaser video for the show: “We’re going to meet ARMY through online streaming Our stage is where you are. Please enjoy the concert with us that day!”

‘Permission to Dance On Stage’ will exclusively stream on Weverse. The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. KST, or 5:30 a.m. EDT. BTS will announce further details in the coming weeks. The event will mark BTS’ first concert since ‘BTS Map of the Soul On:e’ held in October 2020. BTS canceled its in-person ‘Map of the Soul’ tour in August due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

BTS is also gearing up to release the new song “My Universe” with Coldplay on Sept. 24th.

Taylor Swift releases new “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)”

Taylor Swift has officially released her re-recorded version of the 1989 song “Wildest Dreams.” She previously previewed the song in a teaser trailer for Spirit Untamed, a children’s movie whose soundtrack features contributions from Fleet Foxes’ Robin Pecknold.

“Wildest Dreams” has been popping on TikTok lately as well, with fans using the song to soundtrack their clips using the service’s new “slow zoom” filter. Taylor posted on TikTok: “Someone said slow zoom makes you look like the main character I said make it Taylor’s Version pls #wildestdreamstaylorsversion #swifttok #slowzoom”. She also shared on Twitter“Saw you guys got Wildest Dreams trending on tiktok, thought you should have my version,” ending with several kissy-face emojis.

Swift released her first re-recorded album, Fearless (Taylor’s Version), earlier this year. Her next re-recorded album, Red (Taylor’s Version), will arrive in November and include new contributions from Phoebe Bridgers, Chris Stapleton, and Ed Sheeran. There are not currently details on 1989 (Taylor’s Version), despite the release of the new “Wildest Dreams.”

Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings to host ‘Jeopardy!’ through 2021

Jeopardy! confirmed on its official Twitter account Thursday that actress Mayim Bialik, 45, and former champion Ken Jennings, 47, will fill in as hosts following Mike Richards’ exit for the remainder of 2021. The Twitter post read: “Not sure if you’ve heard but @missmayim and @kenjennings are hosting me until the end of the year. Everyone on the staff is supralunar.”

Sony Pictures Television said Bialik will host new episodes through Nov. 5, after which she and Jennings will “split hosting duties as their schedules allow.” Bialik was originally announced in August to host new Jeopardy! primetime specials and a potential spinoff series, and was later confirmed to guest host the regular game show in the wake of Richards’ departure. Jennings is a former Jeopardy! contestant who holds the record for the longest winning streak on the show and the highest winnings in regular season play. He previously guest hosted Jeopardy! following longtime host Alex Trebek’s death in November 2020.

Richards stepped down as the new permanent host of Jeopardy! in August following controversy over his past remarks. He later also exited the show as an executive producer.

Helen Mirren to host Harry Potter competition show ‘Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses’

WarnerMedia announced that Helen Mirren will host ‘Harry Potter: Hogwarts Tournament of Houses,’ a four-part competition series based on the J.K. Rowling books and movies which will premiere on Cartoon Network and TBS.

Mirren said she was happy to finally join the franchise, sharing in a statement: “I knew someday I’d get a Harry Potter role, and I’m so pleased to take part in the 20-year film celebration. The films inspired such enchantment and wonder for so many of us, and it will be such a treat to reignite that magic for the countless fans who continue to revel in this spellbinding world.”

WarnerMedia did not release details of the competition as of press time. 2021 marks the 20th anniversary of the first film adaptation, ‘Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.’ The seven books eventually became eight movies, with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows split into a two part finale.

Elton John postpones 2021 farewell tour dates due to hip injury

Elton John announced Thursday he is postponing his 2021 ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road’ tour in Europe and United Kingdom to 2023 due to a hip injury.  In 2018, John announced he would be retiring from touring after his 300-date ‘Farewell Yellow Brick Road’ tour.

The 74-year-old made the announcement on Twitter, saying: “At the end of my summer break I fell awkwardly on a hard surface and have been in considerable pain and discomfort in my hip ever since. Despite intensive physio and specialist treatment, the pain has continued to get worse and is leading to increasing difficulties moving.” John also said he was advised to have surgery so there would not be long-term complications.

John said he will still be able to participate in the Global Citizen event on Sept. 25, and concluded his message thanking fans for their patience: “I completely feel your frustrations after the year we’ve had. I promise you this — the shows will return to the road next year and I will make sure they are more than worth the wait.”

Post Malone, Megan Thee Stallion, and Lil Uzi Vert lead lineup for ‘Posty Fest 2021’

Post Malone has unveiled the lineup for his third annual ‘Posty Fest’, taking place October 30th and 31st, 2021 at the Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The lineup includes Post himself, along with Megan Thee Stallion, Lil Uzi Vert, Polo G, and more. Post Malone made the announcement on Instagram: “@postyfest 2021 line up:) tickets on sale now at postyfest.com”

Other notable acts appearing at the festival include Roddy Ricch, Jack Harlow, Rod Wave, $uicideboy$, and Tyga. Also performing are Flo Milli, Kaash Paige, Kenny Mason, iann dior, Peach Tree Rascals, RMR, Koe Wetzel, and Turnstile.

The 2021 Posty Fest is set to take place entirely outdoors in the open air outside of AT&T Stadium, and marks the return of the event after being cancelled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Tickets and travel arrangements can still be purchased at the Posty Fest website.
