On Wednesday, former Bachelor star Colton Underwood, 29, appeared on Good Morning America where he came out as gay in a sit-down interview with Robin Roberts. Underwood said that he has used 2020 to reflect on himself and “came to terms” with his sexuality earlier this year.

The reality star said, “I’ve ran from myself for a long time. I’ve hated myself for a long time, and I’m gay. I came to terms with that earlier this year and trying to process it. I’m emotional, but in such a good happy positive way. I’m happiest and healthiest I’ve ever been in my life.” Asked about why Underwood is now revealing the news, the star said he got “into a place for me in personal life that was dark and bad.”

The former football star starred as the Bachelor during Season 23 of the dating show in 2019, ultimately giving his final rose to contestant Cassie Randolph. During the GMA interview, Underwood said he was still in love with Randolph and “loved everything about her” during his season of the reality show. Underwood and Randolph, 25, never got engaged, and dated until announcing their split in May 2020.

Rina Sawayama has released a new version of her song “Chosen Family,” featuring Elton John. The new track comes with a music video featuring Sawayama and Elton John performing together at the piano.

“Chosen Family” was originally released on the artist’s 2020 album SAWAYAMA. Sawayama said on the new collab: “It was such a joy and honour to rework “Chosen Family” with the legendary Elton John. The song means so much to both of us, and recording it together was such a special experience I will never forget. I got shivers when I heard his voice through the monitor and became emotional when he added the piano parts. Elton has been such a huge supporter from before the album, and when we finally met to record this song we clicked from the get go. I hope people can hear the magic!
