Britney Spears dropped the new song, “Matches,” a collaboration with the Backstreet Boys. Spears wrote on Twitter, “‘Matches’ featuring my friends @backstreetboys is out now !!!! I’m so excited to hear what you think about our song together.”

The Backstreet Boys also tweeted, “What a GLORIOUS day it is … we’ve been asked about the possibility of a collab like this for the past 20 years and today is the day!! #BritneyXBackstreet is finally here!”

Matches will appear on the deluxe reissue of Spears’ 2016 album “Glory.” Earlier this month, the singer released “Swimming in the Stars,” which was originally recorded for “Glory” but never included. She debuted the song on her 39th birthday.

JP Saxe and Julia Michaels first teamed up for “If the World Was Ending” last year. The song, produced by Billie Eilish’s brother FINNEAS and nominated 2021 Grammy Awards for Song of the Year.

Noq, both artists are once again collaborating on a new holiday song “Kissin’ In The Cold,” written by Michaels and Saxe. Saxe shared on social media, “we wrote this little holiday song in July in our living room and its out today 🙂 @juliamichaels #KissinInTheCold produced by our brother @thebenjaminrice. link in stories. cover art by @artistcalledlo.”

Taylor Swift announced on Thursday that she was dropping her ninth studio album, sharing the surprise news on Twitter: “I’m elated to tell you that my 9th studio album, and folklore’s sister record, will be out tonight at midnight eastern. It’s called evermore.”

Swift also tweeted, “To put it plainly, we just couldn’t stop writing songs. To try and put it more poetically, it feels like we were standing on the edge of the folklorian woods and had a choice: to turn and go back or to travel further into the forest of this music. We chose to wander deeper in.” 

Swift shared on Twitter that the music video for her single “Willow” would be released at midnight, and shared the track list for “Evermore,” which features 15 tracks in total on the standard album, with two bonus tracks on the deluxe edition.

Liam Payne has debuted the music video for his new holiday song “Naughty List“ featuring Dixie D’Amelio.

Naughty List was released just before Halloween, and Dixie said about the track: “We all could use a little early holiday spirit, so I’m hoping everyone has fun creating videos to this song. It’s so catchy and I love how it can serve as such a fun way for all of us to feel a little more connected to each other. I can’t wait to see the crazy content everyone comes up with.”

Ariana Grande announced Wednesday that she will be releasing a concert film with Netflix later this month, titled Excuse Me, I Love You.

Along with a shot of the poster for the film, Grande posted on social media: “this as a love letter to u all, in celebration of all that we’ve shared over the past few years. I know this project only captures some of one tour (out of all the other hundreds of shows and moments we have shared over the past six or seven years… jesus lol) but i just wanted to thank u all for showing me more in this lifetime already than i ever dreamed of. Making music and doing all of this has been all I’ve known or fully given myself to consistently for a very long time now. although my heart is looking forward to a change of pace, i wanted to express again just how eternally thankful I am.  I’ve learned, seen and felt so much. It’s been such an honor to share so much of this life with u.”

Th Sweetener World Tour took place through most of 2019 and was the first time Grande performed music from her fourth and fifth studio albums Sweetener and Thank U, Next.
